Blog #2 part 1

After visitng the source waters of the Bonnechere in September, it occurred to me that the best way to develop an impression of the entire watershed would be by flying over it to get that brid's eye view.  On October 3rd, I took such a flight, using Chapman Aviation out of the Arnprior Airport.  The flight time in the little Sesna was about an hour and a half and the sky had a high cloud ceiling.  The experience was invaluable to me in the creation of the four scenario panintgs in my "mind's eye" style, and I'll share some of the best photos here.  We first flew from the Bonnechere's mouth on the Ottawa to the headwaters in Algonquin Park, then turned round and flew back again.  The numbers that appear in the roll-over text correspond to the numbers on the map on the left.
